MINISTER TUNÇ: TERRORISM IS A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY
The Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç has underlined international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and said that: “Terrorism aims at the destruction of humanity, and it is a crime against humanity”.
Minister Tunç received the British Ambassador Jill Morris and accompanying delegation in his office.
Stating that they attach great importance to judicial cooperation between both countries, Minister Tunç has noted the significance of mutual technical visits in order to strengthen cooperation.
WE ARE FIGHTING AGAISNT ALL FORMS OF TERRORISM
Emphasizing that Türkiye has been combatting all forms of terrorism, Minister Tunç said that: “Terrorism is a crime against humanity, and it is very important for countries to engage in close cooperation in the fight against terrorism. Two countries need to understand each other very well in the fight against terrorism. Terrorism aims at humanity, therefore international cooperation and countering terrorism within the field of law are of great significance in the prevention of this crime”.
Minister Tunç noted that they expect sensitivity from the United Kingdom in respect of Türkiye’s extradition requests.
The British Ambassador Morris stated that they observe sensitivity towards extradition requests, and mutual cooperation will continue.
