MINISTER GÜRLEK: WE WILL RESOLUTELY CONTINUE OUR SUPPORT ON EVERY PLATFORM FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT AND SOVEREIGN STATE OF PALESTINE

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated as follows: “As Türkiye, we will continue, with determination, to stand by the rightful struggle of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and to extend our support on every platform for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

In his statement shared on his social media account, Minister Gürlek further emphasized that Israel’s decision to expand settlement activities and impose sovereignty in the occupied West Bank is absolutely unacceptable.

Emphasizing that this step constitutes a clear violation of international law, justice, and human dignity, Minister Gürlek shared the following message:

“Israel’s decision to expand settlement activities and impose sovereignty in the occupied West Bank is absolutely unacceptable. This step represents an explicit violation of international law, justice, and human dignity.

Unlawful settlements and land seizures undermine hopes for peace in the region and erode the perspective of a two‑state solution. The international community must take a clear stance in favor of law and fundamental human rights.

As Türkiye, we will continue, with determination, to stand by the rightful struggle of our Palestinian brothers and sisters; and we will resolutely sustain our support on every platform for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
