Can TUNCAY -THE DEPUTY MINISTER

He was born in Istanbul in 1983. He was graduated from the Faculty of Law at Marmara University in 2005. Between 2006 and 2007, he served as a candidate judge and prosecutor in Ankara; and in 2007, he was appointed as a Public Prosecutor.

Throughout his professional career, he served respectively as Public Prosecutor of Akşehir (2007–2010), Public Prosecutor of Suruç (2010–2013), Public Prosecutor of Malkara (2013–2015), Public Prosecutor at the Bureau for the Investigation of Terror Crimes in Istanbul (2015–2019), and Public Prosecutor at the Bureau for the Investigation of Terror Crimes in Izmir (2019–2021).

Between 2021 and 2023, he served as the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor responsible for the Bureau for the Investigation of Terror Crimes in Izmir; between 2023 and 2024, he served as the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor in charge of the General Investigation Bureau in Ankara; and from 2024 to 2026, he served as the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor responsible for the Bureau for the Investigation of Terror and Organized Crimes in Istanbul.

With the Presidential Decree dated 20 February 2026, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Justice.
