“Our National Struggle, which began with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s landing in Samsun on 19 May 1919, became the first step of our blessed march toward an independent and sovereign Republic of Türkiye, and stands as one of the most important turning points in our history.

The torch of independence lit a century ago, with the determination and resolution of our nation, repelled imperialist occupations and illuminated the path to our freedom. Today, our goal is to carry forward the ideal of a fully independent and strong Türkiye into the future together with our TEKNOFEST generation, whose minds and consciences are free.

On this meaningful day, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the heroes of our War of Independence, our martyrs, and our veterans. I extend my congratulations to our beloved youth and our noble nation on May 19, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will resolutely continue our journey toward a great and strong Türkiye.”
