MINISTER TUNÇ: WE CONTINUE OUR RELATIONS ON LEGAL AND JUDICIAL AREA BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç expressed that “we continue our relations on legal and judicial area between Azerbaijan and Türkiye without experiencing any problems. We are carrying out significant activities in order to strengthen the relations further and share our experiences.”
Minister Tunç convened with the Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov in the capital Baku where he was visiting for official meetings. Following the meeting, “the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening the Capacity in the Field of Criminal Execution and Probation Systems” between two countries was concluded.
Justice Minister Tunç noted that the relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan were further strengthened by raising them to the level of alliance with the Shusha Declaration.
WE ARE CARRYING OUT SIGNIFICANT WORKS TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCES
Underlining that there are strong brotherhood ties between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç indicated that Erdoğan and Aliyev conducted an administration for the benefit of both countries, and the related ministers also worked in order to further deepen the relation between them.
Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated that “We continue our relations on legal and judicial area between Azerbaijan and Türkiye without experiencing any problems. We are carrying out significant activities in order to strengthen the relations further and share our experiences.”
Stating that both countries may share experience on judicial practices, Justice Minister Tunç added that they also continued the relations within the scope of the Organization of Turkic States and held close relations with the justice ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States.
Minister Tunç expressed that the relations were carried out without any problems concerning the resolution of the legal problems experienced by the Azerbaijan citizens in Türkiye and Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan. Minister Tunç continued:
“We would like to extend our gratitude to Azerbaijan for their sensitivity on fight against terrorism. FETÖ attempted a traitor coup attempt against our country on 15 July, 2016. FETÖ's nesting in our brotherly countries in the past also poses a risk for our brotherly countries. We have had co-operation in this regard. The fight against terrorism requires international co-operation. In this respect, the countries we will cooperate with the most are our brotherly countries.”
WE BENEFIT FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF TÜRKİYE IN THE FIELD OF JUDICIARY AND FORENSIC MEDICINE
Azerbaijani Minister Ahmadov stated that the relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan continue in line with the notion of “one nation, two states.”
Emphasising that the relations have been raised to the level of alliance, Ahmadov expressed that “Türkiye’s support in the 2nd Karabakh War continues today in the reconstruction and recovery of Karabakh. Our close relations are also reflected in judicial relations. We benefit from Türkiye’s experience in the field of judiciary and forensic medicine. Our relations have no borders. We are extending these borders day by day.”
Following the meeting, Tunç and Ahmadov signed “the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening the Capacity in the Field of Criminal Execution and Probation Systems”.
MINISTER TUNÇ VISITED THE MARTYRS' CEMETERIES
Within the scope of his visit to Baku, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç visited the grave of the late President of Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev and Turkish and Azerbaijani Martyrs' Cemetery.
Minister Tunç placed a wreath at Haydar Aliyev's mausoleum and then left a wreath at the Eternal Flame Monument in Baku Martyrs' Cemetery where the martyrs of 20 January were buried.
Justice Minister Tunç went to Baku Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery and placed a wreath at the monument and signed the memorial book.
