JUSTICE MINISTER TUNÇ CONDEMNS CALLS BY ISRAELI OFFICIALS TO “ANNEX WEST BANK”

MINISTER TUNÇ: STATEMENTS BY ISRAELI OFFICIALS ARE A VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND CAN NEVER BE ACCEPTED

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç condemned the statements of the members of the Israeli government on the “annexation of the West Bank”. Minister Tunç stated as follows: “The statements of the members of the occupying Israeli government on the annexation of the West Bank are a clear violation of international law and can never be accepted.”

Emphasizing that the West Bank is and will remain a part of the occupied Palestinian territories, Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated that any annexation attempt is invalid in terms of the resolutions of the United Nations and international law.

THE STATEMENTS ARE DISREGARDING THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made the following statements on this issue on his social media account:

"Statements by the members of the occupying Israeli government on the annexation of the West Bank are a clear violation of international law and are unacceptable.

We strongly condemn and reject these provocative statements and possible annexation plans of the Israeli authorities. Such irresponsible statements disregard the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people.

The West Bank is and will remain part of the occupied Palestinian territory. Any attempt of annexation is invalid under the resolutions of the United Nations and in terms of international law.  The international community must take a clear stand against such unlawful statements and possible de facto steps."
